Happy New Year

I don’t believe in resolutions, so I won’t make any here. Except: I will not allow myself to go into autopilot anymore. I will be focused and open to life before it passes me by. Also, I’ll write about it. Happy new year. One year and five months until the world ends. Better get busy.

The man in the orange shorts 1

He was running in Central Park on a cold Tuesday morning after the sixth worst snow storm in New York City since records have been kept. The temperature hovered around 28, but he wore orange shorts and an orange long-sleeved shirt and an orange knit hat and orange shoes. Headphone speakers connected to an iPhone ...

The rain came down hard Though there was little to show for it. My shirt got a little wet and My shoes were soaked through. You stayed dry, though, all the way. While you slept I pushed and Listened to your dreams across the wind While treacherous leaf piles threatened Daddy’s footfalls. You are always ...
